Kissing Lessons
-------------------
Qui-Gon had noticed that his new padawan had been restless as of late.
She'd been sneaking off to their quarters for hours at the time, seemingly
pining over someone else. He couldn't read her well enough to know which
of
the male padawans she was eyeing, but figured it was time for "the
talk."
"Celia, come here please." Celia perked her ears up at the
soft timbre of
her Master's voice. She put away her treasured holo of Obi-Wan Kenobi
and
rushed into the main quarters.
"Yes, sir?" Jinn patted her on the head and motioned for her
to sit next to
him.
"Celia, dear. I've noticed you have your eye on someone in the Temple.
Tell me, who is the lucky fellow, hmm?" Qui-Gon watched as Celia's
pale
skin flushed to the roots of her silvery curls.
"Obi-Wan Kenobi." Celia looked down to the floor in shame.
She was only
seventeen and Obi-Wan was twenty-four already. He'd never look at her
twice. She was like his sister or something.
Qui-Gon laughed to himself. He'd have to get Obi-Wan to talk to her,
tell
her that he loved her only as a friend.
"You're dismissed, Padawan. Free time." Celia let out a whoop
and headed
to the gardens to meet up with her friends.
Qui-Gon walked over to his communicator and called Obi-Wan. His former
padawan was in his quarters relaxing after a mission and happy to hear
from
his old master.
"Master! How good of you to call. However, I sense you have motives
other
than wishing your former apprentice home. Problems with Celia? Oh,
speaking of her, I brought her a little present from Alderaan." Obi-Wan
held up a delicate silver chain with a star dangling from it. "Alderaani
gold...silver on this planet apparently. Oh well, maybe she'll like it."
"Obi-Wan, I need you to come and talk with Celia tonight. She has
a bit of
a..what's the word? Oh, 'crush' on you." Qui-Gon watched as Obi-Wan's
normally reserved face broke out into laughter. Celia would be beautiful
in
a few years, but now she was just a sweet kid.
Just then, Oui-Gon heard a strangled cry behind him and turned to find
that,
to his horror, Celia had been in the room for the entire conversation.
"You...you TOLD him...I...I..HATE YOU!" Celia slammed her door
and
disappeared into her room. Qui-Gon looked at Obi-Wan who was grave. Hate
was a serious emotion, even when used in the overly-passionate context
Celia
had.
"I'm coming over, Master. What harm can there be in me comforting
her a
bit?" Qui-Gon nodded his assent and Obi-Wan came over in a few minutes,
still wet from his speedy 'fresher.
"She's in my old room, right?" Qui-Gon nodded and let Obi-Wan
work his
magic. He certainly had a way with the ladies.
------------------------
"Celia? Can I come inside? I want to talk to you." Celia let
out a
muffled sob and opened the door. Her violet eyes were red-rimmed from
crying and her hair was mussed from being pressed into the pillow.
Obi-Wan sat next to her on the bed and gave her a hug, noticing just
how
tiny her body was. But, that small stature hid a powerful Jedi
knight-in-training.
"I want you to know I love you, Celia. But, only like you love a
sister,
not a lover. Do you understand? I don't want you to think that I'm leading
you on or hurting your feelings." She nodded and watched, wide-eyed,
as he
pulled a necklace from the pocket in his robe. He lifted her heavy hair
and
fastened it around her neck.
"It's an Alderaani wishing star. You make a wish and kiss it, like
this,"
Obi-Wan kissed the pendant softly, "to seal the wish. Go on, try
it."
Celia scrunched up her face and made a wish, and then kissed the tiny
star.
"What did you wish for?" Obi-Wan asked. Celia laughed, and
replied, "If I
told you, it wouldn't come true!" He laughed again and
stated matter-of-factly that Alderaani wishing pendants worked whether
or
not you told your wish.
"Well, in that case, I wished you'd kiss me. A real kiss."
Obi-Wan smiled
and thought, *What harm could it be?* He leaned in and brushed his lips
against hers, intending to leave it at that, but Celia's tongue tickled
across his mouth and he opened instantly. He thrust his hands into her
hair
and deepened the kiss, groaning into her mouth with pleasure. For a first
kiss, it sure was a zinger. Finally, he broke off, amused at her soft,
dreamy smile.
"Thank you. I'll never forget that I had my first kiss with the
infamous
Obi-Wan Kenobi." Obi-Wan winked and got up to leave, reminding Celia
that
they were just friends and nothing more. She fervently agreed and went
out
to apologize to Master Qui-Gon.
"So, how did it go, Celia?" Qui-Gon was glad that Obi-Wan had
talked to
her. He was a soothing person to be around in a crisis.
"He loves me, Master Qui-Gon..really loves me."
Qui-Gon rolled his eyes and muttered, "Oh Sith, here we go again..."

The End...for now.
