Founded May 27, 2000, the StarWarsChicks RPG Council consists of GMs and other staff. The Councilors are helpful, competent gamers, currently active on the StarWarsChicks RPG list.
The Council's purpose is to approve new members and help them on their way, plan SLs, update the web site, and make rulings on player actions. In other words, they are the goddesses of the game and control the fate of the characters. This is an important responsibility - the judgements of the GameMasters reflect the game itself and all its possibilities, and also separates us from round robin story-telling or fanfiction.
If you have problems during the course of the game, such as a complaint against another player or questions about what you can and can't do, any of the Councilors can help you - Just e-mail one of us. If the Councilor you asked doesn't know the answer, she will pass it on to someone who does.
If you have a certain type of character who needs to be played, one of the Councilors might be able to help you. Also, if you have an idea for the direction of one of the SLs, feel free to write us. Just beware that we are limited by our free time in how many characters we can play, and we may already have an idea for where we are going with the plot.
The characters the Councilors are already playing can be found in the Game Master Character Vault.
What have they been up to lately?
Take a look at the RPG Council section on the News page.
By becoming part of the Council, each member promises to be fair and open to dissent, to weigh the arguments, and to make responsible decisions - even in the face of losing the villain they have developed over the last three months, or in ruling against a friend if it is the right decision.
So how does this affect the regular gamers? Here is what the Council GMs have the power to do:
Our current Councilors:
Real-life editor, firefighter, and reporter. When not doing these things, I am probably reading, writing, singing (badly), drawing, or lounging on the computer. I've been a true Star Wars Fan since middle school, but I remember pretending my cousin's backyard was Endor and Vader was alive on a few lazy summers around the age of nine. I still love 'make-believe' and refuse to entirely grow up to this day, hence I've gotten into online role-play and simming (and a little bit of LARPing too!). I've been at it for more than eight years now (yikes!) and I pretty much got this RPG going.
Hi ^_^ I'm Kara...but mostly go by Nya around here ^_^ Anyway, you wanna know a little about me I suppose? well, I'm currently in my senior year of college, studing animal science w/ a concentration in equine studies and no real idea of what i'm gonna do when i get out of school ^^;; Aside from horses and Star Wars, I'm a rabid hockey fan, and love to play myself (lets hear it for the goalies! w00t!). I also love to draw, take photographs and otherwise be artsy ^_^ I'm a long time player here at SWC, and a long time Star Wars fan with a soft spot for Imperials and bounty hunters...especially the Fetts ^_^ Long Live the Empire.
Well, I'm sixteen for starters. I have four brothers and a sister so needless to say I enjoy what quiet time I can get. My favorite hobbies are reading and writing a bit (not that I've ever finished a story). I also enjoy playing piano and violin and listening to music, just about every kind. I've watched Star Wars ever since I was very little. My earliest memory of it is going around the house(Cloud City) with a miniature broken flashlight for a lightsaber and a ceramic R2-D2 figure as my faithful companion. I got into SWC through my cousin. I believe she wanted me to join the the regular list with her but I saw the rpg and, having role-played before, knew it was the place for me. I wasn't really into SW though until I started doing some EU reading to prepare myself for the rpg (Timothy Zahn is the best!). I can't remember how long I've been on this site and I'm too lazy to stop and calculate it but it's been at least two years if not three. I'm honored to have been chosen as a councilor and will do my best to aid both the game and my fellow SW fans in their gaming needs.
I am a 19 year old Star Wars lover. When I'm not writing, coding or playing around on Photoshop I'm lounging around with my friends and getting into "delinquent" conversations and theology. I first fell in love with Star Wars as a small child, Yoda kicks butt, but it wasn't until the prequels came out that I truly found my niche. StarWars became the fuel for my imagination, a canvas to paint upon. My favorite time period to write in is around 1500 years pre-Empire. All this led me to Star Wars Chicks and to start writing my own fan fiction. I've been rping here for about three years and I intend to keep doing for a lot longer still. :) May the force be with you.
Name: Mandy, Occupation: Student Teacher. Hi there all! I'm Mandy, and well this is my biography I guess. I'm married, just this year, and I'm working on my second degree. I've loved Star Wars ever since I can rememeber... I collect Garfield, Dinosaurs, and Stephen King books. Well, I guess that's all I can think of.
Hello, Earthlings, I'm Andie-- but most of these mere mortals around here know me as Rori, SWC's resident pyromaniac Sith and weirdo Christian! I just graduated high school in June 2004 and plan on going into the Coast Guard once my stupid braces come off. Grrr-ness. I've been with SWC since early 2001 and on the Council for close to three years now! I've been a fan since one of my stepbros got me into Star Wars through Legos... (yes, I'm an 18-year-old girl who still plays with Legos!) It was the Expanded Universe that really hooked me, though, and the rest, as they say, is history. As for assorted other shtuff, I enjoy drawing, writing stories I neither finish nor publish, and debunking all those people who say fantasy RPGs are a tool of the Devil! When you look at it, Star Wars is fantasy given the trappings of high technology... now excuse me while I go plot how to take over the galaxy! The Empire shall be reborn! MWAHAHAHA-- *choke* *gag* *falls over dead* X_x
Hey there folks, I'm the lucky guy that gets to sit on the council with these fantastic ladies, and it's been my pleasure to be a part of this SIMM for some two years now. I'm 23 and live in England, though hopefully not for too much longer, I have aspirations to head out to the US in the next few years. I graduated from university back in the summer of 2001 with a degree in Physics with Space Science, but I'm now working in IT Customer Management. Sci-fi in most formats is definitely my most dominant hobby, and I've been role-playing in various formats for about 8 years, online for the past five :-) Feel free to give me a shout on AIM (AdmiralShayGiven) or MSN (admiralshaygiven@hotmail.com)
