About our Fight for the Cure! Campaign

Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in women and the second leading cause of cancer death in women.  Star Wars Chicks across the globe are fighting for the cure to eradicate this devastating disease from the lives of women and families everywhere. Our "Fight for the Cure" campaign began in 1999, with the sale of t-shirts. With the help of Star Wars Chicks like you, we sold 500 shirts and raised $8366.90 for the Kansas Cancer Institute.

In the fall of 2004, StarWarsChicks.com debuted the Star Wars Chick Lapel Pin! For a donation of $10 USD or more, supporters received our thanks in the form of one of these beautiful enamel pins! Within 2 months we were completely sold out, and on February 1, 2005, Crysta mailed a check for $8,418.43 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, who sent us a lovely thank you letter.  Thanks to all of you who helped support our campaign and are wearing the Star Wars Chick Lapel Pin with pride!
