Lyianna stared out of her window, and sighed, tears rolled down her cheeks and she sobbed silently.
There was a knock at the door, and she called for them to come in, she saw her mother walk across the landing, and then entered the room she was sitting in. She wiped the tears away from her daughter's streamed cheeks, and smiled.
"Why do you cry Lyianna?" she said simply. Lyianna stared up into her eyes, and choked on her tears.
"I do not want to leave, I have so much here, and leaving a planet altogether, it seems so much!" She sobbed. Her mother gave a small laugh, and tossed her jet-black hair behind one shoulder.
"Ah I see, do not worry my child, I know about these things, when I first travelled away it was of deep shock to me too, but all the same you will grow used to it" she explained, running her hands through her daughters similar hair. Lyianna was not much comforted by this but nodded in agreement. Her mother left her, and Lyianna sat thinking by the window.
Why was it her that had to leave the planet, her home? No one else was, just because she was the queen's apprentice, did not mean that she had to go everywhere with her!
She sighed, and looked out the window across the landscape, that had been her home for many years.
"I don't want to be the chosen one, I mean any one could do this job, but I can't!" she muttered under her breath." I could have been anything that I wanted to be, but no, I am the queens' apprentice, why did I ever except this duty, I can't handle it... I DONT WANT IT!" she said beginning to lose her temper.
"Umm, excuse me M'lady, but the queen is waiting for your arrival, I think the ship has docked, you will be leaving soon" one of her handmaidens said.
"Thank you Jenita, tell her I shall be down in a few minutes" Lyianna said, trying her best to control her temper, but every word she spoke was spoken through gritted teeth, and so it was quite obvious to her handmaiden that not all was well.
"Are you all right M'lady?" her concerned handmaiden asked.
"Yes, yes, I apologise, now leave me, I need to...tend to a few things" she said, touched by her handmaidens concern.
She nodded and left the room.
"Ah, well this is it then, I'm going, oh I sure hope that this does not take long, the sooner I'm back, if I do come back, the better!" she said, with a sigh. She collected her bag, and made her way down to the docks.
"Ah, Lyianna, everything has been sorted I trust?" Queen Amidala greeted her.
"Yes you majesty" Lyianna said, taking a seat next to her queen.
"Forgive me Amidala, but I was just curious to know, how long shall we be in Coruscant it's just, I feel that my home is here, and I don't really want to leave it" Lyianna said, her eyes cast down.
Amidala smiled. "I appreciate the way you are feeling, I too felt like that once, but I assure you that you will grow to understand why we are leaving home, in time you may even enjoy the trip!" Her queen replied, but Lyianna was still unsatisfied a she did not know how long it would be that she was away form her home on Naboo. Not wanting to cause any trouble, she just sat silently in her seat, until her queen spoke to her.
"Oh yes Lyianna I forgot to tell you, we are having a public dinner tonight, it was the way of welcoming us to Coruscant, your going to have an escort so it's a proper formal dinner, so try and behave yourself okay!"
She said turning to look at Lyianna.
Oh great another night with boring conversations and smarmy politicians she thought, but managed to smile and look interested.
"Oh? So who is this escort accompanying me to the dinner?" she said, not really very interested at all but putting on a face anyway.
"His name is, I am sure you know him, Anakin Skywalker?" She said with a small smile running across her face. Lyianna's face was a picture, know him? He was one of he most well known Jedi across the whole of Naboo well he wasn't even a full Jedi he was still a Padawan, and she was escorting him to dinner, or rather he was escorting her.
"That shouldn't be a problem should it?" Queen Amidala asked still with her cunning smile on her face.
"Oh no, that won't be a problem at all!" Lyianna said, grinning back at her queen. Perhaps this trip wasn't going to be such a bad one after all. Once the ship had landed they were taken to their quarters for the next few weeks.
"Well it's not quite queenly treatment, but hey it'll do!" Lyianna said flopping onto the bed, she really was the most unlike apprentice ever.
"Well it'll have to do, besides you're not the queen, so you don't need queenly treatment...yet"
She turned to see Amidala standing in the door.
"ah yes, but you were right in saying ...yet!" she replied.
"You are so cheeky, remember I am your queen and though I only put on a formal and hard face in public, I can be formal and hard with you if I want to be!" She replied seating herself neatly on the end of the bed.
"I know, but you don't want to though...do you?" Lyianna replied cheekily. All that got her was a tap on the head, and she rolled back on to her feet.
"Come now, I want to see what dress you are wearing this evening" The queen said, although she was not much of a queen to Lyianna she was more like a friend, a big sister almost, only she had a lot of authority over her.
Lyianna groaned and followed the queen, into her bedroom.
"Do I have to wear one of those big flounce dresses, I feel so silly in them. I'd much rather where something similar to what I've got on!" she whined, holding the purple silk dress between her finger and thumb.
"Nice though it is, I am not taking you to dinner in that flimsy...thing! Come you may borrow a dress of my own, but please try not to ruin this one!" Amidala scolded, thinking back to the last time Lyianna had worn her dress, and spilt red wine all over it.
Lyianna laughed at the memory but then turned her thoughts to what Amidala was saying.
"Besides, Anakin would be much more impressed with you wearing something like this" she said holding up a white sparkly ball gown " Than what you've got on!"
"I am not going to be put on show! I am just going to eat! Besides...Anakin would never be interested in me!" she said thoughtfully.
"Don't be silly, you can be quite stunning when you want to be, the trouble with you is, you never want to be! Now come here and try this on!" The queen replied with a laugh. Lyianna walked sulkily into the room, and began to try on dresses that the queen was giving her.
Oh sith this is bad, I hate dresses! She thought and groaned.
"Right just smile be polite, and stay as far away form red wine as you can!" Amidala instructed before they walked into the lounge, where Lyianna saw Anakin sitting waiting for me.
"Good evening Madame" he said standing up to greet her, what a gentleman! She thought, then noticed him grinning at me. Oh sith! You can read thoughts, oh! Don't do that! She cursed.
"Well you'll have to learn to keep your thoughts to your self!"
"Anakin!" Lyianna turned to see an older man staring at Anakin.
"Sorry master we were just..."
"I don't care...mind your manners!" he whispered in Anakin's ear. "I am sorry about that Lyianna, I hope you forgive my impudent Padawan's behaviour!" he said turning to face her.
"Not at all master...?"
"Kenobi" he offered for her.
"Master Kenobi, I'm sure it was just high spirits!" she said giving Anakin a cunning smile. He seemed quite taken back, but he wasn't going to complain, this women was scary!
She took his arm and they began to walk through o the dining hall. Taking her seat Lyianna turned to Anakin.
"So he's your master?" she asked looking in the direction on Obi Wan Kenobi.
"Yeah, he sure is, right pain of one as well!" he replied, giving his master an agitated look, and when he wasn't looking stuck his tongue out at him. Lyianna laughed, and when everyone turned to look she just glared back at them, and then looked down as she got a very scolding look from the queen.
"Oooh I'm going to pay for that later!" she said, causing Anakin to laugh once more. "They're so annoying! They act so proper and tell you off in public, but the minute your alone with them they're just like your friends!" she said, feeling a rush of annoyance.
"Tell me about it! Obi wan is always telling me what I do wrong in public, and then leaves the praise for when no one else is there! I would much rather it is the other way around!"
"I know! That is exactly what...are they doing?" she said cutting her self-short. Noticing how Obi Wan was leaning down at the back of Queen Amidala's chair, and she was turning around talking to him.
"I have no idea! I think it would be a good idea if we don't find out either!" Anakin replied with a grin. More and more people came into the hall and Lyianna found it very annoying having to stand up and greet each one as they came.
"If I have to stand up and smile like an idiot once more I think I'm going to go mad!" she muttered under her breath.
"You know you are really not the perfect apprentice you're made out to be!" Anakin said with a grin.
"Cheeky! Although is true, I'm supposed to be so perfect who makes long and grown up speeches, the truth is I have never said a speech in my life!" she admitted.
"No kidding!"
"No kidding"
At last everyone was seated and Amidala made the signal for the dinner to begin.
"About time too I'm starving!" Lyianna said beginning to cut her large pear into sections, and struggling.
"Here, I'll do that!" Anakin offered noticing her difficulty, which she obliged to.
Lyianna spent most of the night laughing, despite the looks she got from Queen Amidala.
Once the night had finished, Anakin accompanied Lyianna and Amidala along with Obi Wan to their room.
"Thank you, it was a lovely evening" Obi wan said as they stopped outside the apartment.
"I agree it was good fun!" Amidala said politely.
"Yeah it was funny!" Anakin said, "I mean fun!" he added hastily doing his best to ignore that laugh he got from Lyianna, and the glare he got form Obi Wan.
"Goodnight Anakin," she said " And goodnight Master Kenobi!" she nodded and smiled.
"Night Ani!" Lyianna called over her shoulder.
"Night Lia!" he replied, and then ducked the blow that was aimed for his head, "Hey what was that for?" he cried.
"Mind your manners you impudent Padawan!" Obi Wan replied.
Anakin groaned.
Lyianna could just hear their voices disappearing down the corridor. She laughed and then turned around to meet the angry gaze of Amidala.
"Uh oh" was all she could manage.
"You" Amidala pointed to the apartment door "Inside!"
"Oh great now what did I do!" Lyianna exclaimed.
"Lyianna, your behaviour in there this evening was not good!" Amidala scolded. Lyianna fought back a chuckle.
"It was just that Anakin made me laugh, I was just having fun!" she retorted.
"Well just don't let it happen again!" Amidala replied "Now, to bed! Busy day tomorrow!" she said.
Lyianna groaned, and made her way to her bedroom.
Amidala rolled her eyes, and made her way to her own bed.
"Lyianna wake up, you're late! We have a meeting with the Jedi council in ten minutes so hurry up and get up!" Amidala called through the door. Lyianna groaned and rolled over.
"I am so not a mornings person" she moaned.
After scrambling out of bed, finding her way to the shower and appearing decent, Amidala took her hand and hurriedly they walked swiftly down the corridors.
"Why are we going to the Jedi? We have nothing to do with them!" she said feeling a bit locked in the dark.
"Something has occurred which has caused out paths to cross with the Jedi, all will be revealed in a few moments" she said.
"Oh fine" Lyianna muttered and kept walking. Trying to keep up with the queens quickening pace.
"Ah, Queen Amidala, good to see you it is" Yoda said as they walked through the doors.
"And you Master Yoda" Queen Amidala replied.
"And you also Lyianna, to see you is good also" he said looking up at Lyianna.
"Good to see you as well Master Yoda" she said doing her best to get his name right, no on said anything so she assumed it was right.
"Sit, please sit" he said offering them both the chairs that were placed out for them.
Lyianna looked around at the Jedi council sat before her.
"Now I am sure you are all aware of what we are here to discuss" Mace Windu began. Everyone nodded, but seeing Lyianna looking completely unaware he decided to explain. She above all people would need to know.
"It has come to our attention that one of our most supreme...Jedi, have been destined to a most unsatisfactory destiny" he explained. Lyianna was still a little unsure.
"They are going to become one of the most powerful of all, on the dark side" he continued to explain. "Now this would be a disaster for all, the balance would be corrupted and well, there would be nothing that the Jedi or anyone else for that matter could do. If we are going to do something, the only solution would to do it now, before it is to late" he said. "It gets better," he said seeing the expression on Lyianna's face." The only person capable of preventing this is in this room right this minute..." he said looking around at everyone, until his eyes came to a stop on Lyianna. She stared back at him for a moment and then reality hit her.
"Me!" she exclaimed in astonishment. "Well that's ridiculous, I hardly no anything about this Jedi stuff, there is nothing that I can do!" she said rapidly.
"Troubled of this you are?" Yoda said.
"Troubled? For sith's sake! I am blimin raving about this that is just so..." a hand covering her mouth cut her off.
"Lyianna, shush!" she heard Amidala say as softly as she could manage.
"We were expecting a reaction of this sort Lyianna, but we must let you know that we will aid you in any way that we can, and you shall not be alone on this mission"
"Mission! You tell me I am going to defeat or whatever the most evil guy on the planet, and now you tell me I am going on a mission! What's next, a week of Jedi training!" she said, and then shook her head as she saw he expression on the councils face.
"Oh no, you have got to be kidding me" she said bewildered.
"We do think that a few Jedi skill would prove you useful!" Mace Windu explained.
Lyianna stood up and threw her arms in the air, opened her mouth to say something but was so astonished couldn't manage to speak, and resolved to storming out the room instead.
"Oooh they can stick their stupid mission, I'm no genius, if they can't do it, how on Coruscant do they think I can!" she muttered.
"Something you want o share with the class?" she heard a voice behind her say, and turned around to see Master Kenobi standing there.
"Oh no I'm sorry, I was just muttering to myself...where's Anakin?" she said noticing he was alone.
"Oh he's...here I will show you" he said taking her by the arm, and leading her away.
They soon came to a silver door, he punched in a code and she walked into the room, he poked his head around a door, and beckoned her to do the same.
She had to laugh as she saw the figure of Anakin sprawled across a bed, snoring loudly.
"Shhh" Obi Wan said bringing a lip to his lips, but forcing himself not to laugh at the same time.
He closed the door, and she began to laugh again.
"Oh I would have loved to get that on holocam!" she spluttered.
"I all ready have!" he said handing the picture to her. She laughed, as his foot twitched back and forth.
"You can keep it if you like," he said with a smile.
"Really?" she said smiling back.
"Of course!" he said. "Now if you don't mind I have to see the council in a few minutes, so I will see you later on?" he said opening the door for her and walking her out.
"Oh yes that's fine, I will see you later perhaps when you sleeping Padawan has woken up, I can't wait to show him this!" she said waving the picture at his face.
"I am sure it will make him laugh, he'll kill me for it later though!" he said.
"Good bye Master Kenobi" she said.
"Please, Obi wan, its much less formal" he said.
"Goodbye Obi wan"
"Goodbye"
She made her way slowly back to her apartment, where she found Amidala waiting for her.
"Lyianna! I am very disappointed with you," She said as Lyianna walked through the door. "I know this may have come as a shock, but you must understand, if not for yourself, you must do this for everyone else, for your people for you friends for me, Lyianna, for me" she said, before she Lyianna had a chance to object.
"Amidala, I can't do this! This is something far beyond my capability!" she said "I would so much like to help all those that re going to be affected, but I can' possibly see how I can help! She said.
"Lyianna listen to me, we do not always like what is expected of us, but when it is expected of us it is at that time that time that you have to be strong. This is an extremely big question being asked of you, and it is so important that you except what is going to happen, although you can't see it now, you are not alone on this, if you don't do it, it would appear no one else can!" Amidala said taking Lyianna's hand in her own.
"Very well, but I'm making no promises, if I fail it is upon your own head's!" she said with a cheeky smile.
"You will not fail" Amidala said with a smile of relief.
"I wouldn't be so sure" Lyianna called making her way to the shower.
"I don't believe that they, and you, are making me do this!" Lyianna moaned, as she took the lightsaber from the out stretched hand of Amidala.
"Look just go and give it your best shot! I am sure that it will go...smoothly?" she sad, not so sure about lightsaber training herself.
"It will be no problem" Amidala heard Mace Windu say. "I have partnered you with someone who should be of great influence" he said. "I believe you have met Padawan Skywalker"
He said stepping aside to let her see Anakin.
"Oh yeah we've met" Lyianna said with a smile "But hang on, I have never held one of these things in my life and your partnering me with someone who is an expert at it!" she said, feeling slightly worried.
"It shouldn't be a problem, we'll ask him to go easy on you" he turned to Anakin "Anakin go easy on her" he said humorously. She rolled her eyes and they made their way over to a mat.
"Surely partnering her with him was not a good idea, after all he is the one she may have to fight anyway!" Amidala said with some concern.
"No, it shouldn't come to her fighting him, it's others we were more worried about, don't worry if she does fight him, at least she'll no his tactics!" he said with an unconvincing grin.
"Ah yes, but he will have learnt hers too!" she added, but then turned her eyes to watch Lyianna attempt to fight.
"Umm Anakin?
"Yeah?"
"How do you turn it on?" he laughed at her slightly and then flicked a switch in her lightsaber.
She jumped backwards as a violet stream of light jolted out of the metal stick.
He laughed her and then took a bow. She followed his example.
He took a small step towards her, and very slowly she began to use what knowledge she had, to block of his attacks, her defences were actually quite good.
As time passed there pace quickened, and they soon were going so fast that everyone in the room had stopped to watch. Mace Windu was astonished, this girl could fight, and she could fight in style and grace, they were like...dancing partners.
That was exactly what skill Lyianna was using, she was dancing in rhythm to his body movements, spinning and twisting away form his attacks, and blocking every blow with the weapon she held in her hand.
"I don't think we are going to finish this fight, I cannot defeat you and you cannot defeat me..." Anakin said, but was cur short as Lyianna took advantage of him losing his concentration, and knocking his lightsaber out of his hand and catching it with her own free hand.
"Oh really?" she with a raised eyebrow.
"Wow...how did you...wow" he stuttered looking at his empty hand.
"I think it would be safe in saying, that I defeated you," she said smugly. An Applause rose from the astonished crowd, and Mace came over to her beaming.
"Where did you learn to do that?" he said shocked.
"I...don't know, it just came naturally!" she said, a little startled herself at what she had just done.
"Well I guess that means you don't need much training in lightsaber practice, although I might partner you with someone more challenging like my self or obi wan, but not now later perhaps" he said.
"Good show" she said as she walked passed Anakin, who was scowling, in reality that was the first time he had ever lost a match, and she was not even a Jedi!
"So master what is it that I will be doing now?" Lyianna said curious at what surprise he had in store for her now.
"I think you could do with some...meditating!" by the look on Anakin's mocking face this was obviously something she was not going to enjoy.
"Anakin you look like you could do with some practice as well, come along!" Mace said, also seeing the look on Anakin's face. He scowled, but had to agree or he would pay for it later.
"That'll teach you for being so smug!" she teased as he joined her at her side.
"Oh shut up!" he said still annoyed that he had lost to her in a lightsaber match.
"Hey, although I am training to be a...a something, does not mean I am not the apprentice of the queen any more, which means...Anakin?"
"It means I have to pay you all respect" he mumbled.
"Sorry I didn't here that" she teased.
"Oh now your pushing it" he said with a grin. She just tapped him on the head playfully and kept walking. It soon came to her attention that she was walking on her own.
She turned around to see Anakin laughing in the hallway.
"I think we were going to the gardens to Meditate?" he said, "Unless you have other plans" he said opening the door for her to walk through. She walked in and noticed that it was not the garden at all but a closet, she turned around to scold him, but noticed the door shutting on her.
Anakin stood by the door laughing as she began to thump the door.
"Anakin?" he heard the familiar voice of Mace Windu say.
"Uh, yeah?" he said waiting to see what it was he was going to say.
"Where's Lyianna?"
"Ummmm..." he began but was cut off by the banging on the door behind him. Mace pushed Anakin away from the door, and let Lyianna out.
"Anakin, behave your self!" He said after letting her out.
"Yeah Anakin behave yourself!" Lyianna mimicked, poking her tongue out.
"And you can stop being so cheeky!" Amidala cut in.
"Ugh they are so like parents!" she moaned, as she walked behind them next to Anakin.
"Oh I know, Obi Wan is even worse!" he laughed.
"I didn't think that was possible!" she said back, giving Amidala a glare behind her back.
They arrived at the gardens, and Mace Windu instructed Lyianna into a position on the floor.
"Clear you mind, and focus on that area on your head that has no thought" He said.
"What! Where her brain should be!" Anakin spluttered out. Then regretted it.
"Anakin! Will you please mind your manners, that's very rude apologise this minute, and along with that I will be expecting you to clean the bathroom floors for a week" Mace Windu said glaring angrily at him.
"Yes Anakin, what have I been telling you about minding your manners!" He heard the voice of Obi Wan say. Anakin cursed under his breath and turned to Lyianna and apologised, she didn't make it any easier for him as she smirked at him as he did so.
"Right back to concentrating, focus on every unmoving thing, let your trail of thoughts come to an end, and think of nothing" he said. Lyianna was finding it so hard not to laugh; this was all a bit much for her, it sounding very similar to a yoga class or therapy treatment.
At last her hour came to an end, Although she had not accomplished much, she was eager to finish.
Once alone with him, Lyianna burst into fits of laughter with Anakin.
"You were in so much trouble back there!" she said. "I was trying so hard not to laugh!" she said giving in to it now.
"It was your fault that got me in trouble!" he retorted, but still laughing.
"Oh yeah right! I didn't ask to be locked in the cupboard, or a summary of the space in my head!" she replied.
"It was just so tempting, I had to say it! It was a perfect line!" he laughed, as she scowled at him.
"Yeah well you are going to have fun in the toilets because of it!" she quipped, then it was her that was laughing at his scowl.
"Come on lets get out of this place!" she said taking his hand and leading him out of the gardens.
"Where are we going?" he asked.
"I don't know anywhere as long as its no here!" she said making a run for the door to the lift.
He shrugged and ran after her.
They ended up sitting by a well outside the city centre.
Lyianna ran her finger through the water that was sat in the bucket, and gave a sigh of discontent.
"What is it?" Anakin picking up on the waves of anxiety that radiated form her.
"Oh I don't know, its just that this is all such a big change, I was at one stage having lessons on how to sit properly at dinner, and now I'm dancing about with a weapon!" she said, with a roll of her eyes.
"Well your doing damn well at dancing around with a weapon anyway, but I know what you mean, why are you taking Jedi training anyway?" Anakin said realising he had no idea what she was doing it for.
Lyianna twisted around so that she was leaning against the well's side.
"Well..." she wasn't sure if she could tell him, "I was asked" or ordered more like, she thought. "To take part in a mission that they thought I would become of use in, and they thought it would help if I had some knowledge of the force" she explained. It wasn't the whole truth but it was close enough.
"Oh I see" Anakin said, noticing that she was keeping something from him, but wasn't going to ask her about it. "I guess it is a change then," he said, not really knowing what to say.
"It is, its more like a burden, I feel so alone in doing it, I have never dome anything of this sort before, and here I am being thrown in head first to a mission that I know hardly anything about!" she said rapidly.
"Hey, don't think like that though! You're not alone at all, I'm here, Obi Wan is Mace Windu, we're all here to help!" he said, running a finger along the underside of her arm. She smiled, trying not to show how ticklish she was.
"I know, but I feel so vulnerable, okay so I can protect myself with a stick, but I'm sure other's can do just as well or better! Plus to make it worse, the only person I know really well here is Amidala and the only use she is, is to straighten my eyeliner!" she exclaimed, feeling her emotions beginning to rise up out of her.
"You know me, I'll help you" Anakin said turning her head to look at him.
She smiled at him gratefully," I know you'll help me, and I am grateful to you Anakin, but all the same there's just something nagging at me in the back of my mind, something saying that not all is as it should be" she said, thoughtfully.
"Perhaps that's because it isn't all as It should be" he said a playful glint in his eye. He leant forward and placed a soft kiss upon her lips. Oh sith now what do I do, do I carry on, yes! No! Umm eventually she pulled away shaking her head.
"Anakin stop! What are you doing?" she cried not realising what she was saying, she was blaming him for something she was as much to blame for as he was, after all she had gone along with him, "In fact don't answer that!" she said, turning and rushing away. She was not angry with him, she was angry with her self; she had very much wanted to go along with him, but knew it would cause complications. And now she had left all the blame on him.
"Ah well, he can handle it!" she said, then bit her lip as she realised how horrid she had sounded. "Oh Sith!" she cursed, and ran back to her room.
Lyianna walked down the sixty flights of stairs in true elegance, until she stood on her dress, when she caught sight of Anakin and fell tumbling to the floor. She could not keep going on like this, just because...erm...some complications had occurred the night before did not mean she had to act a complete fool every time she laid eyes on him.
She looked up into his deep dreamy eyes, and saw nothing but a mocking humour in them. She stood up and brushed herself off. She looked at him, and forced herself not to say something very rude to him, but then had to run off as she began to splutter into hysterics.
Anakin stared after her, she was truly a unique girl, and even though he did not want to admit it, he felt strong feelings towards her.
"Anakin! Come on, we can not be late for this!" Obi-wan-kenobi called, noticing the confusion in Anakin's mind.
"I was just coming master" he said, turning away from watching Lyianna. She turned around just to see him disappearing up the stairs.
"Oh this is not good" she muttered, and ran to find Jenita her handmaiden.
"Padawan Skywalker, listening you were not?" Yoda said. He looked grumpily at Anakin, who jumped immediately out of a daydream.
"I, um. Sorry could you repeat the question?" he said nervously, he looked at Obi-wan, who let his head drop to his hands.
Anakin was feeling very embarrassed, he had been thinking of Lyianna rather than his duties, and now he was in serious trouble.
"Troubled your heart is" Yoda said, seeing straight into Anakin's heart. Anakin blushed and sat up straighter.
"Well, not really I just had my mind on other things, I am sorry Master Yoda, I will concentrate now" he said doing his best to work his way out of his sticky situation.
Yoda nodded and began to continue talking. Anakin was still very reluctant to listen to any of what he was saying, but forced himself to, as he knew Obi-wan would give him a hard time if he didn't.
Obi-wan grabbed his Padawan's shoulder as he tried to run out the door, without being caught.
"Hold it right there, you have got some explaining to do!" he said, looking directly into his eyes.
Anakin squirmed away form his Master, and turned around, he gave a cheesy grin, as a five year old would do, and fluttered his eyelids.
"What do you mean master? Did I do something wrong?" he said innocently. His master gave him a whack on the head, and sighed.
"You need to learn Padawan, that if you become a Jedi you renounce all love affairs, this affection you have with Lyianna must be broken!" he said seriously, Anakin turned away and sighed, what he was feeling this moment was driving him mad. He looked out the window, and watched Lyianna, running freely in the fields, laughing with her friends, in absolute harmony.
Nothing, he thought, nothing would ever cause her to love me.
He walked away from his master, and sighed. He had always wanted more than anything to be a Jedi, and now, he had broken one of the greatest rules of the book. He had fallen in love.
Lyianna, ran across the fields, and laughed mockingly as her friend slipped in water and fell to the ground.
She bent down gracefully, and helped her friend up, then poured more water over her head and ran away laughing. After much exercise, and they were both tired out, they flopped to the ground and lay down with their eyes closed.
"Lyianna?" Her friend Jenita said.
"What?"
"Have you ever fallen in love?" As her friend said this Lyianna sat up, she looked at her and sighed.
"Yes, I have, but it was in the most unfortunate circumstances!" she said dreamily.
"Go on" her friend encouraged.
"It was with a Jedi, he truly captured my heart, but I could never love him because I heard they are not allowed to love," she said sadly. Jenita looked into her friends eyes and smiled.
"You still love him don't you" she said, as if it had been written across her face.
"Unfortunately yes, I do" Lyianna replied .She looked up into the large windows of the main Jedi quarters, and gave a deep sigh.
Her friend shook her head.
"You've got it bad haven't you!" she said, and then turned her head away.
"Why did you bring the subject up anyway?" Lyianna said, remembering the way that Jenita had said the question.
"Well, it's just that, I have started to feel some feelings towards...Jar Jar Binks!" she laughed, and ducked the blow that was aimed for the top of her head, Lyianna stood up, still laughing, and began to run back into the city.
She whizzed around the corner, and found herself grabbing hold of an arm, winging round, and landing hard on her bum.
"Oh...oohps?" she said, as she stood up and brushed herself off. She was about to tell the person she had crashed into to mind where they were going, when she realised whom it was she had crashed into.
"Oh, god, sorry!" she muttered, she looked back at her friend, who was stifling her laughter.
Anakin stared into the young girl's large aqua blue eyes, completely transfixed by the ultimate beauty of her.
"No, not at all, don't worry about it" he said dreamily " I'll see you later" he added.
Lyianna blushed, and cast her eyes down.
"Sure, maybe you will" she said. She kept staring at the ground, and tried so hard not to look up and show her bright red cheeks. Anakin began to fidget and eventually he gave up.
"Um, excuse me do you think you could possibly let go of my arm?" he said,
Lyianna looked up and noticed that she was still holding not his arm from when she had fallen over.
"Oh god sorry!" Lyianna felt her face burning; she turned away when she felt him grab her shoulder.
"Hey Lyianna?" Anakin said.
"Hmm?" she squeaked out.
"How about some Lightsaber practice later?" he asked, he saw her eye's light up with excitement.
"It's a date then," he said.
"No, its not a date, it's an...arrangement" she replied, then turned and walked away with Jenita.
He had not much time to ponder over this conversation before a group of Jedi came running over to him, and spoke a few urgent words to him it seemed. The expression on his face and he began to run over to a hovercraft and he jumped into it.
Standing in the shadows watching was Lyianna, her heart leapt as she heard the words ' must leave quickly' and then saw Anakin turn and run, before she had thought at all, she began to chase after him.
Quickly she sprinted through the streets, making sure she was not being followed, or was not seen by any Jedi.
She just saw Anakin, running to a small hovercraft, the engine began to start and to her horror she saw the craft begin to race down the runway.
She began to sprint after him and as the craft took off, she leapt up and caught the back of his seat, and went soaring up with him.
She gave a small yelp as she saw her city getting further and further away from her. Anakin had heard her yelp, and turned around quickly in shock. As he realised there was a young girl on the back of his craft his only option was to haul her up to safety.
He turned around, and grabbed her arm, slowly he began to pull her up until eventually she was safely in the seat behind him.
"What are you doing up here!" he said, Lyianna took the head dress off of her head, revealing her pretty face.
"I forgot to tell you something," she said with a cunning smile on her face.
"Oh?"
"I forgot to tell you what time we should do our practice," she said with humour in her voice.
He smiled at her and then turned around to face the hover controls.
"I guess I'll have to take you back down now then," he said, almost sorrowfully.
"NO!" Lyianna exclaimed, "I mean no, I do not want to go back down there, after all this would be the best training I could get! It's like the warm up to the mission I'm going to be assigned to soon!" she said rather rationally. She was so desperate to get to know Anakin that she was prepared to go to the greatest lengths to do so. Anakin was quite taken back by all that she had said, but he was nor reluctant to agree with her.
"Very well, but you must not tell a single person that I have allowed you to accompany me, it may cause some uproar," he said. Lyianna grinned and climbed into the seat next to him.
"You know what, you just made my day!" Anakin laughed.
"Hold on tight then" Anakin yelled, and pushed his foot down on the accelerator. Lyianna gave a small cry, as she felt the wind roar past her, and the speed picking up, but she very soon began to enjoy it.
"Where are we going anyway?" she called, the noise of the wind moving so fast drowned out her voice, but Anakin could just make out what she was saying.
"Tatoowine" he replied, " We have to go and sort something out...with the supreme chancellor" Lyianna gasped, she leant forward and rested her head on his shoulder.
"You mean THE emperor, you mean the crotchy guy that does NOT sort things out very...nicely"
"That's the guy!" he said almost cheerfully, he laughed as she gave a small whimper and then sat back in her seat.
"OH boy!" she said, and the craft bolted forwards, going much faster.
"Obi wan, listen, she is the only one that can do it, she has a power with herself that only she consists of."
Obi wan, sighed, he was not sure if his Padawan's friend was ready for this, her heart was with other matters at this time and she may not be able to concentrate fully on her job.
"I know, you are right, but she is still only a child not a Jedi,"
With that he walked out leaving his master standing alone, slightly concerned as to whether the decision he had made was a good one.
Anakin gently rested the craft onto the ground, and climbed out of his seat. He offered a hand to Lyianna, which she accepted, and climbed out of the craft.
"So now where do we go? To the emperor?" Lyianna said, still thrilled from the speed of the craft, and so she was still in high spirits. She slumped against the craft and stroked the shiny metal that was painted in a brilliant yellow.
"No, we have some other priorities that come first!" he said, "Follow me!" and he began to walk away in the direction of group of small buildings a few miles away. Lyianna hopped to her feet, and began to pace after him.
When they came to a halt Lyianna gave a small laugh.
"Ah, I see priorities hey?" she said. She looked up at the café that stood before her. It seemed quite nice.
"I always consider my stomach before all other matters, you can definitely not negotiate, when you stomach is growling with hunger"
Lyianna laughed, ah yes but what are you really hungry for? She thought, but then focused her mind on other things.
Anakin lead her into the café and they sat down at a table. He smiled at her and gave her the menu that was on the table. She spent a few minutes reading it and then looked up.
"So, what are you having then?" Anakin said. He saw the shocked expression on her face and laughed.
"I'll order for you I think, it would appear your not familiar with this stuff!" he said choking with laughter form the expression on her face.
"So what made you want to be a Jedi? Don't you have to leave all your family and obey so many rules, I was even told that you were not allowed to...love?"
Lyianna said, she was very curious about the Jedi life, and it was true, she had been told they could not love and she was very keen to find out whether it were true or not.
Anakin sighed and looked out the window.
"Yes it is true we are not allowed to love, but that prevents nothing, we, well I, still fall in love," he said woefully. Lyianna looked at him.
"What harm can come from falling in love, love has no evil it is pure good" she said. Anakin looked into her eyes.
"I know it makes no sense to me either. Which is why I pay no attention to the rule, the only thing is my master Obi Wan Kenobi can sense every feeling I feel, and so it causes me much awkwardness when I see the one whom I love" he said.
"Who is it that you love?" She said, not really wishing to hear. Anakin smiled at her, then took her hand and looked straight into her eyes.
"You" he said, and he smiled at her. Lyianna sat back in her seat and gasped.
Anakin cringed a he realised what he had just said. He went silent in embarrassment, and bowed his head.
"What are you ashamed of?" Lyianna said, noticing the shame wiped across his face.
"I should not have said that" Anakin said still with his head bowed. Lyianna stood up and walked over to him she knelt down on one knee and lifted his head with one finger.
"It's okay Ani, what happened last night was a mistake, and only because I walked away" She said, and then walked out of the café leaving him in completely stunned (and the bill).
Anakin walked out of the café and looked around, Lyianna was nowhere to be seen. He called her name, but there was no reply. He was beginning to panic when he heard the familiar laugh of Lyianna sound form above him. He stared up to see her hovering on top of his craft.
"Gee's Lyianna, get down you don't know how to work that thing!" He called, a little worried that she was going to go and break it or something like that.
"Hey! Don't worry! I have it all figured out, this makes you stop," she pointed to a button. "This makes you start," she pointed to another "and this," she put her hand on a small leaver, "this makes you go faster!" and with that she pulled as hard as she could on the leaver, causing it to go flying forwards.
The craft performed a few very impressive stunts, and Anakin was beginning to fell not so worried, when he heard a small scream, and just saw the craft go flying into a wall quite a long way away.
"LYIANNA!" He yelled, and began to run as fast as he could towards the craft. He was not to far off when he heard a few clashes and bangs, and Lyianna's head appeared from underneath the crumpled pile of metal.
"Yes?" she said grinning but still expecting him to have a huge go at her.
"Lyianna, what the hell did you do that for! You scared the life out of me!" he cried. Helping her out from underneath the crumpled craft.
"Oh I don't know I thought it might be fun! Why do you think I did it? It was an accident!" she exclaimed.
"Yes but you still shouldn't have flown it anyway!"
"I wanted to try it, it looked so fun flying a craft!"
"Yeah it is, but it's not easy! And besides, you are not supposed to even be here with me let alone flying the Jedi property! When they find out your gone we are in deep trouble!"
"Oh for got about them, we're not going to be gone long and well I just thought I could handle it, I guess I was wrong. I'm sorry"
Anakin sighed took a step towards her and wiped the hair out of her face.
"Its okay, actually those stunts were quite impressive, but just don't do it again, I don't want you taking my role as best flyer along with best lightsaber fighter!" Lyianna smiled.
"Oh that's a shame!" she said. Avoiding the glare he was giving her.
They walked back to the town, arms around each other, talking happily about the lives they used to live.
Anakin walked into the small hostel, and asked for a double room.
He took the key from the receptionist, and together they walked up the stairs and into the luxury room they would be staying in.
Lyianna gasped as she saw the huge double bed and went running towards it, did a small summersault and landed on her back on the soft bed, she was soon followed by Anakin who lay down next to her.
"We have a problem" he said, Lyianna turned her head and looked at him.
"What?"
"There is only one bed"
"That's not a problem" Anakin went wide-eyed in astonishment.
"You can sleep on the floor!" she said, then leapt off the bed and began to block the pillows that were aimed at her. Anakin clasped her by the waist and hauled her back to the bed; she was squirming madly and then squealed as he began to tickle her ribs.
"Get off me you great oaf!" she squealed, and finally he let go of her, and she flopped down on to the bed breathless.
"But its still not a problem" She said, then winked at him and walked into the shower room.
Anakin lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Being with Lyianna was all he had ever hoped for, but there was something that was bothering him, he knew that every minute he was with her, he was breaking all his Jedi rules. And as soon as she was missed from Coruscant, they would come and look for her and then find her with him. He heard the shower turn on and few moments later he heard her voice singing softly.
A while later she walked out the bathroom wrapped in a short white towel, her hairwas twisted up in another towel, and it sat perfectly on her head.
Lyianna looked around the room, and spotted a cupboard in the corner, she opened it up and smiled. There was whole range of clothes in there, she chose a light purple gown, which fitted her perfectly and then slipped into bed. Anakin soon joined her, and the lights turned out.
Troops marched across the terrain, leaving huge marks across the sand. Huge ships hovered along side the clones, making sure all were in line; the million of them were each in step, making it a rather daunting sight to see. This though, was only half of them.
Lyianna flopped back onto her pillow and sighed, what was heaven compared to this?
She rolled over and laid her head on his chest whilst wrapping her arms round his waist. She felt his hand run up her leg and then grab her round the waist, tickling her right where she hated it most. She squealed and sat up quickly smacking his arm whilst she went, desperately trying to get him to stop tickling her.
He laughed at her mockingly, then stood up and walked into the shower room, and he turned on the taps.
"Hey!" He heard Lyianna's voice calling through the door, as she rapped her knuckles on it noisily.
He unlocked the locks, and leant in the doorway. Lyianna grabbed the opportunity and pulled him out the bathroom and ran in herself, making sure she locked the door behind her.
By the end of the morning they had accomplished to fight for the shower, get dressed, and fall about aimlessly in hysterics.
At last Anakin explained that they would have to leave, and reluctantly Lyianna began to pack her things.
"So, where do we go now?" Lyianna asked, slightly curious to what crazy plan Anakin had in mind for her now.
"I think what would be good idea if we went and got another craft! Or fixed the dead one at least!" he said and he put an arm round her shoulders, "Why are you so interested anyway?"
Lyianna looked up at him and grinned.
"Oh I was just wondering which sort of painful death you had in mind for me in this mission" she joked, but as she said it Anakin noticed her voice crack.
He stopped walking and turned to face her.
"Your scared aren't you" he said gently, she nodded, and tears weld up in her eyes.
"Don't be, this is nothing compared to what you have to do!" he said not socomfortingly.
"Oh great that makes me feel a lot better!" she said, catching his grin. "But it's not this that I'm worried about" she muttered, not loud enough for him to hear though.
They began to make their way over to the slightly crumpled craft and Anakin began to inspect it.
"Well? Can you fix it?" Lyianna asked peering over his shoulder expectantly.
"No" he said then turned to face her "But WE can!" he replied.
"Yeah, yeah I get the point!" she said rolling her eyes. "So where do we start?" she said looking bewildered at the pile of metal before her. "I'm hopeless at fixing things, I only ever managed to fix a toothbrush, and even that's still bent!" she said, flopping to the floor and resting her chin in her hands.
"Well... I will sort out the mechanics of it, and once I've pulled off the cover, you can start flattening the metal!" he said almost cheerfully. She groaned and began to help him take the metal pieces apart.
"Oh boy, now this could be funny!" she said staring at the crumpled mess before her. Anakin laughed at her, and sat down to work on the engine.
"Master!" Obi Wan called running into the council room, and turning to face Yoda. "Master, they've both gone! She went with him to Tatoowine!" he called.
"Heard of this all ready I have, fear do not, sorted this will be" Yoda said grimly. Mace Windu turned to face Obi Wan.
"It may not be such a bad thing, after all, Anakin will take it upon himself to protect her, so when he is being wielded, he will be thinking of her safety, and will help her to defeat the Emperor and perhaps destroy him" he said hopefully.
"This is true, he does have some feelings towards her I fear, but at this time it may not be so bad, I just hope Lyianna keeps her wits about her, and I hope Anakin does come to think of it!" he replied, feeling slight doubts. This was a rather big risk to take, it could cost Lyianna her life, but he was not going to argue, if Mace Windu thought her to be in real danger he was sure that he would go after them.
"It has happened all to soon of fear though" he admitted. Yoda turned upon him at this.
"Fear Obi Wan you shall not, help, you shall, dependent on you is your Padawan, if you fall he to shall fall" he said then left Obi Wan to ponder over this.
"Help? How can I help?" he though. He was feeling very much like the helpless Padawan that he had been many years ago.
At last Anakin and Lyianna could step back and inspect their nearly finished construction. It was not as new looking as the other one, but it would 'fly like a bird' as Anakin had put it.
"Well you can test it, I don't feel like flying into a wall for the second time right now" Lyianna had said taking a step back.
"Fine! I love flying, and I'm not scared!" he said making fun of her, this got to Lyianna and it got to her bad.
The minute his back was turned she ran to the craft, jumped into it and took off.
"So, I'm scared am I?" she said hovering a few metres above his head. He looked up astonished and his mouth dropped open. "I don't think so!" she said, then pushed on a leaver and went bolting forwards, she performed a few of her 'oh so famous stunts' and came into landing, without crashing this time.
"Impressive! But not impressive enough!" he said booting her out of the drivers seat and into the one next to it. "Come on then, let's give this thing a real test!" he said, and the craft went forward so fast Jenny was sure that she had left her body behind her. Anakin flew the ship exceedingly fast, and only ever went faster never slower, he performed so many stunts Lyianna couldn't see a thing, Anakin was laughing, and although she enjoyed speed, this was just to fast. To finish it off her fears he turned the craft completely upside-down and went flying straight towards a wall, turning away form it inches away.
Lyianna practically jumped out of the craft once he had landed.
"Do NOT do that EVER again" She said shakily "There is flying, and there is suicide, what you just did was neither!" she said flopping to the floor feeling sick.
"It wasn't that bad!" he said with a grin.
"What ever!"
Anakin just laughed and sat down beside her.
"It's not funny!" she quipped.
"No but you are!" he said, and then jumped out the way of her hand. She spent the next ten minutes trying to beat up Anakin, and failing.
"Come on then, we had best make tracks, it about a two day journey form here!" he said jumping into the craft.
"Ha ha, if you think you are driving me in that thing again, you are very much mistaken!" she said, giving him a very serious look.
"Well what do you propose we do then, you drive?" he said sarcastically.
"Precisely! OUT!" she said defiantly and shoved him out of the driver's seat and got in herself. Anakin shook his head and muttered something not so confident under his breath, Lyianna just chose to ignore it.
"You can direct me then!" she said with a raised eyebrow.
Anakin sighed and sat back in his seat. Ahh! He's all upset! She thought, knowing he would hear her thoughts and it would wind him up.
"I am not upset, I just, I wanted to fly!" he whined like a four year old child.
"Oh Anakin don't be do childish! I do not want to lose my life because an 'Impudent Padawan' flew to fast!" she quoted in the perfect imitation of Obi Wan, which caused Anakin to laugh.
"Oh fine!" he muttered, and began to fidget on the keypad.
"Now what are you doing?" she asked. Looking at him, but making sure she ad an eye looking here she was going.
"I'm turning the boosters of, any minute now you would have gone bolting forward! I wasn't going to turn them off because I was annoyed with you, but I guess I will now!" he said with a grin. She gave him a playful tap on the head, but then realised that he actually turned them on not off as she went flying forwards.
"Anakin stop thins thing right now!" she called, finding it hard to stay in control.
"I would but I don't know how, here give me the controls and I'll fly!" he said cunningly.
"Oh you are so annoying! But fine here, ill go round the back and you move over okay?" she said already standing up in her seat and walking round the back of the seat, as he edged along to the control pads. Unfortunately as the craft jolted slightly, Lyianna lost her footing and went flying over the edge, where she only just managed to grab hold of the side.
"Anakin! A little help would be nice!" she cried, Anakin turned to see that Lyianna had disappeared, he then spotted the tiny hand clinging on to the edge of the craft.
"Oh Sith" he muttered, and brought the craft to sudden stop, but unfortunately the jolt sent Lyianna flying backwards, and she fell to the sand below her.
"Oh sith oh sith oh sith!" he cursed, taking the craft down. He soon found that it was worse than it already appeared, much worse. As, before he could reach troops of millions of clones, came across the unconscious body of Lyianna, and took her with them. Anakin had the only option to follow them without being seen.
Yoda sat on the round soft couch with his eyes shut. Obi Wan came into the room, silently so as not to disturb Yoda meditating, no such luck.
"News I have Obi wan" he said with his eyes still closed. "Terrible, terrible news, Anakin is now alone, Lyianna, has gone" he said matter of factly.
"What! Well where is she then?" he cried.
"With the clones, I fear, Anakin is too" he said. And then left him. Obi Wan was very unsure what to do, he wanted to help but he knew that there was little he could do. "Amidala's going to kill me!" he muttered, and settled down himself to meditate.
The troops had been marching for days, and Lyianna was still unconscious.
Anakin was sure that these clones had something to do with the dark side, and he was going to make sure that he followed them, getting Lyianna back safely was going to be a problem, he would never be able to take them all on by himself.
After marching on for eight more days, they finally came to a stop, by a huge cliff wall. One of the clones punched in a code in a hidden pad on the side, and immediately the huge cliff wall opened up into long dark tunnel.
Anakin was so astonished he didn't notice that the door was practically closed. He made sure that the cones were far enough for him to slip in unnoticed. The door was about half a metre away from the ground when Anakin dodged underneath it in the craft; he only just made it in.
"Now that was close, to close!" he muttered with a smile. He sped after the clones, making sure he wasn't seen.
To his surprise the passage led them to the supreme chancellor, who was sitting on a high chair in the centre of a very dark room. He sat the craft down and walked boldly into the room.
"Oh I'm so glad to see you, I've been following the clones for days thinking they were in the dark side, and it turned out to be you what a relief!" he said with a smile. He then saw the expression on the counsellors' face.
"You are on the dark side aren't you?" Anakin said cringing.
The chancellor nodded.
"Ah well, I guess I'll have to get my lightsaber out then won't I," Anakin said disappointedly.
"No Anakin there is no need for violence, now is the time for ultimate power. Now that I am exposed to you on the dark side, you can join me, think Anakin you are powerless without me, now that I have Joined the dark side the ultimate power is on the dark side, join with us Anakin join us!" he coaxingly.
"Never" Anakin said swishing his lightsaber round the top of his head, finding his serious side at last.
"Anakin, Anakin, come to your senses, do you think Obi Wan and Yoda can stop me, I am the most powerful of them all, either watch them die along with your self, or join me in victory!" The emperor said, beginning to win over Anakin's thoughts. He could sense the doubts in Anakin's mind.
"That's right Anakin, be strong and join the dark side, leave you weaker mind, and join me in power!" he said. Anakin was very confused.
"And my powerful Jedi, you will show your no good master what your really made if hmm?" he said knowing how much Anakin hated the way his master doubted him.
"Jedi? I am no Jedi I am still a pada..." he trailed off as he noticed that the chancellor was shaking his head.
"Join me Anakin and you will be a fully fledged Jedi, with power" he said.
"A full Jedi" Anakin said wistfully, that was all he had ever hoped for. He dropped down o one knee before the chancellor and stared up into his eyes.
"No Anakin!" he heard the familiar voice of Lyianna say. She had just woken up and noticed that she was being held back by clones with her extraordinary lightsaber skills, she had cut them back and ran to Anakin realising in a flash that it was him that she was t prevent form being wielded.
"Anakin don't, he's making it up, you won't become a Jedi you'll become a worthless apprentice of his, and with less power as he will be all powerful of you. You will have no say in what you do, come back to me Anakin please!" She called, fighting her way to him through the shots that were aimed at her.
Anakin stood up quickly feeling helpless.
"Oh for sith's sake Ani' come on! You don't want to become an evil idiot, you want to become a powerful Jedi, admired by all, not feared by all" she coming face to face with him.
"Lyianna, is that you?" he said, she looked into his eyes horrified.
"Of course it's me!" she said, tears welling up in her eyes. "Why can't you remember me? Anakin come on, lets go!" she said almost screaming now.
"He can't remember you because he chose not to, he has been brainwashed he gave in to my power and now is completely under my command" The chancellor said, slightly amused at the small scene that had just occurred in front of him.
"No" Lyianna squeaked exasperated, she sank down onto her knees infront of Anakin. "If you are truly wielded then kill me Anakin, kill me" she said shaking. Anakin hesitated.
"Well what are you waiting for" the chancellor called "Kill her" Anakin lifted his lightsaber, but Lyianna suddenly saw him wink at her, she shut her eyes hoping that it meant what she thought it meant.
She opened her eyes just to see the lightsaber being brought down towards her, but just before he hit her, he turned catching the Chancellor off guard and swiped his head clean off his shoulders.
"Lyianna, you okay?" he said, she nodded slightly and then fainted to the floor.
A few moments later, Obi Wan came running in with Mace Windu, to see the chancellor dead and Anakin dragging Lyianna towards the door.
"Oh great, we didn't miss that action did we?" he said almost humorously. Anakin nodded with a smile, and then left for them to clear the mess up.
"Goodbye Obi Wan, and thank you it had been an, err...pleasant stay" Amidala said with an amused smile. "Now would you mind explaining to me where exactly my young apprentice is?"
"I'm not going" she turned to see Lyianna standing behind her, her arm wrapped around Anakin. "I'm staying, I want to be a Jedi knight" she said defiantly.
"Lyianna! Don't be silly, think about hat you're saying will you! Remember, once you start your training there is no going back, and surely you are to old!" Amidala said, shocked at what Lyianna had said. She turned to Obi Wan.
"Isn't she?" she asked.
"Well it would not matter really as the power she has inside her is truly impeccable, and it would not take long to wield her" he explained, very much wanting Lyianna to stay himself.
Amidala stuttered for a few moments and then turned t Lyianna.
"If this is truly what you want. I have no objections," she said finally.
"Thank you Amidala, I am very grateful for your consent" Lyianna said, taking her into a hug.
"Well, I had better go, I shall be seeing you soon again no doubt" she said, and with on last hug from Lyianna boarded the star ship.
Lyianna turned to Obi Wan. "Thank you, I am sure I shall enjoy this...very much," she said with a sly smile to Anakin, who blushed.
Obi Wan was slightly suspicious of them, as they made their way back to Lyianna's apartment, but wasn't going to say anything. He would just make them pay for it in the morning with two hours of meditating. He chuckled at this thought, and walked back to the council to inform them of Lyianna's stay.
DISCLAIMER: I didn't make a penny off of this story
