Original characters from the movies -- Han and Chewie.

New characters -- Bollux and Blue Max are back, and we meet Badure (goodie or baddie?), Hasti (chick character), Skynx (an academic - he's a Ruurian, sort of a giant alien caterpillar), and Gallandro shows up (he was in book 2).
 
Cover art -- s'okay.

Chicks -- Hasti is a chick with attitude, a survivor. And it looks like she's immune to the Solo charm...

Any good? -- some wild driving (beautifully written), and Han shows off his flying ability. Awesome ending, full of action and well thought-out. This novel also gets the prize for funniest Star Wars song title - "By the Banks of the Warm, Pink Z'gag"!
