Story -- the Human League (anyone else keep thinking of the eighties' pop group?) are trying to take control of the Corellian sector, and it turns out they're led by a Solo. So far, they've managed to put a huge interdiction field around the whole system, jammed all communications, thrown Han into prison, and are holding Leia and the rest of the trade delegates at the Governor's residence (Chewie escaped with the kids and their tutor on the Falcon). Eek!

Original characters from the movies -- still well written. Nice to see Chewie get some decent action.

New characters -- the Solo kids are portrayed well - sneaky, cheeky; just kids (with the Force, of course). Gaeriel shows up (remember 'Truce at Bakura'?). And meet Dracmus, a female Selonian.

Cover art -- even tho' they haven't aged, I loved it. Especially Thracken.

Chicks -- Mara and Leia (there's a brilliant 'escape from a high-rise' scene); Gaeriel (how uncomfortable can it be, meeting up with Luke after all this time?); Kalenda is still good; and Dracmus is ... um ... Selonian.

Any good? -- I usually find the middle book of a trilogy slow-moving, but not in this case. Another reason I think it should have been two books. If anything, this was better than the first book.

Read it? -- yes.

Rating -- 7 out of 10
