Movie characters -- excellent Qui and Obi characterisations.
New characters -- Xanatos is fabulous - a terrific baddie!! Denetrus ("but you can call me Den") is mildly irritating ("Kill me now if you don't trust me!" - don't tempt me, honey!). He reminded me of Guerra from books 2 and 3. Andra is a nice female character.
Cover art -- Obi and Quiggy in a cage - eek!
Chicks -- Andra - very moral, very nice, and very two-dimensional. There just isn't the room in these little books to do the characters justice.
Any good? -- note for parents - this one is anti-gambling. And the bad guys - gasp! - pollute!! At least we don't have Qui and Obi instantly twanging back to the relationship they had before - the lingering doubts about trust, etc. are more realistic.
Read it? -- neat little adventure, and I definitely think Xanatos deserves his place in the Star Wars Bad Guys Hall of Fame.
Rating -- 6 out of 10 (as a kid's book)
