Born in Massachusetts in 1959, he attended Fitchburg State College, gaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, and a Bachelor of Arts in English. He is married to Diane and they have 3 children (Bryan, Geno and Caitlin), as well as a dog (Puddles) and a cat (Guenhwyvar). He enjoys horse shows, fencing, gaming, softball, hockey and music.
